01 / CONTEXT

Why this project?

Gaming Dashboard is a personal project that means a lot to me. As a gamer, I wanted an application able to bring together the information I actually use: my games, my different platforms, my playtime and my statistics.

The idea was to build a tool around the way I actually play, rather than starting from a fictional need created only for a portfolio project.

02 / DESIGN

Designing the interface

I was responsible for the interface design, mockups, visual identity and the organisation of the different pages.

I wanted to display a lot of information without making the application difficult to navigate. I therefore worked on a structure with separate views for games, platforms, the player profile and statistics.

03 / DEVELOPMENT

Building the front-end

I develop the front-end of the application with Angular and TypeScript. The person I collaborate with on the project handles the API and the C# back-end.

Communication between the front-end and the API also relies on OpenAPI and Swagger, allowing us to define and document the different endpoints used by the application.

04 / NEXT STEPS

Growing the project

The project is still evolving. One of my goals is to allow each user to personalise the interface further, for example by choosing their own colours.

I also plan to add a friends system so players can view and compare some of their statistics.
